Marty Supreme Sets Box Office Record in U.S. Limited Release

The sports comedy “Marty Supreme” opened in a limited U.S. run, earning $875K from six screens in New York and Los Angeles. Its $145K per-theater average is the best of 2025 and comparable to “La La Land” ($855K from five screens in 2016).

Directed by Josh Safdie (“Uncut Gems”), the film follows pro table-tennis player Marty Mauser (Timothée Chalamet), loosely inspired by champion Marty Reisman. The cast also features Gwyneth Paltrow, Tyler, the Creator, and others.
