Filming has begun on Tom Ford’s new film
Production has begun in Rome on director and fashion designer Tom Ford’s third project, the historical drama Cry to Heaven. This has been reported by Italian media outlets. The film’s cast includes Nicholas Hoult, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Adele, Colin Firth, Owen Cooper, George MacKay, Ciarán Hinds, Thandie Newton, Hunter Schafer, Paul Bettany, Mark Strong and others. Cry to Heaven is based on the novel of the same name by Anne Rice (Interview with the Vampire). The action takes place in 18th-century Venice and tells the story of castrato singers. The exact release date of The Weeping to Heaven is unknown. Focus Features and Universal will be the distributors. Ford previously directed the drama A Single Man and the thriller Nocturnal Animals
